Do you have ancestors or a special interest in one of the places we’re visiting? Join others with a shared heritage to dive into the history, culture, and adventure of this special land.

We limit our groups to 10 participants (no huge tour buses!), enabling us to personalize the experience.

While singles are welcome, we encourage you to come with a loved one! This will make the family connection piece even more relevant, plus there’s a big discount for both you and your loved one!

Heritage: Booking includes a personalized family history fan chart. Where possible, we will visit a historical archives library for you to do some (optional) family history research. If you have an ancestral site in one of the cities that we’re visiting, please let us know so we can arrange a visit!

Adventure: We immerse you in the history and culture of your chosen destination through guided explorations of cities and historical sites, bringing your ancestors’ world to life. You’ll also engage with the local culture through hands-on activities like cooking and crafting. Adventure outdoors with activities like kayaking, hiking, and mountain biking, creating lasting family memories.

Values: Our engaging Table Talks guide your family in reflecting on the strengths of generations past and present, empowering you to define your core family values.

Yes! We (Kathryn and Devanie) will accompany you throughout the trip. We will have many scheduled activities and also some free time most of the days. You should be confident in getting yourself wherever you want to be during the free time. You should also be able to get yourself to our meeting location (generally a hotel in the first city), and get yourself home once the trip is over. Remember, though, we are here to help with picking flights, travel tips, and navigation instructions.

After registering, we will send you a comprehensive itinerary, flight deals, travel tips, and be available to answer any questions. About one month before the trip we will have a zoom call with all participants to meet and prepare to go!

Our group trips consist of several family groups, with a maximum of 10 participants. You will get to know others with a shared connection to the place we’re visiting.

Our group trips are reserved for adults 21+ only. We welcome kids of all ages on our Custom Trips.

We work hard to make this a valuable experience for your family. Each trip is priced according to the cost of the location. We find the sweet spot between budget and luxury. Rather than staying in hostels or high-end villas, we seek out distinctive hotels, bed and breakfasts, glamping sites, or other unique accommodations (generally in the 3-4 star category). We follow similar practices for food – we are big foodies and find delicious, local food wherever we go. As for transportation, expect a mix of private minibus, train, and bus travel.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL after the refund period has passed. (See specific trip details for refund information.) After the refund period, there are no refunds for any reason, including illness, family events (weddings/births), etc. However, you may resale or transfer your spot to another person.
